Every buyer, when choosing a product, should look at the rating and reviews of sellers on the Aliexpress website, if he does not want to have a headache after the purchase. For example, a non-friendly seller may not send the goods after you pay him the money, or send them but not that or not in the same condition as you read in the description. This all leads to a clarification of relations and the opening of disputes.

Why do I need a seller rating on Aliexpress and what is it?

For the maximum successful purchase, you need a rating so that you can distinguish decent sellers from dishonest ones. To do this, a rating and reviews were made on the Aliexpress website. This rating is based on the data provided by users who have made purchases.

Each user, after receiving the goods, has the opportunity to confirm receipt and answer a few questions about whether he is satisfied with the seller, delivery, and overall impression. Based on this data, the seller's rating is formed.

Visually, the rating looks like this, on the page of any product there is a block with the name of the store that sells this product, diamonds, and crowns are also displayed in this block (so the reliability of the seller is visually displayed). Additionally, the number of reviews left for this seller, the percentage of positive reviews, as well as the number of years of work with Aliexpress are displayed.

How to check the seller on Aliexpress?

You can check the rating as it was written above by clicking on any product of a certain seller, and viewing it at the top of the site as shown in the screenshot above.

Or there is another way to get detailed information about the seller (store).

To get detailed information, click on the name of the store, in this case, it is “Hong Kong Goldway". You will be taken to the personal store of this seller, after which there are a section “reviews” in the menu. Click on the word “reviews".

After opening the feedback page, we will have additional information about the seller consisting of several sections:

Seller Summary is general information about the seller, the seller's name is indicated here, the number of positive reviews over the past 6 months, the percentage of good reviews, and visualization in icons.

• Positive Feedback — statistics of good reviews for the last 6 months.
• Feedback Score is the total number of reviews received by the seller for all time.
• AliExpress Seller Since is the date from which the seller started cooperating with Aliexpress.

Detailed seller ratings are more detailed information on some additional items. For example:

Item as Described is a rating of how the seller described the product being sold, and the number of customer reviews confirming the product description. (For example, if you bought a product, and it was exactly as it is written in the description of the product, then you can leave a review that the description fully corresponds to and assign 5 stars for this item.

Communication is a rating of how the seller answered the buyers' questions and how quickly he provided an answer to the questions. (You can ask any questions related to the product before and after the purchase, you can read how to contact the seller.)

Shipping Speed — how quickly buyers receive goods from this seller, each buyer can leave a review after he receives the goods, and evaluate how quickly the parcel arrived to him.

Also in the screenshot, you can see on the right the inscription on against each rating is 16.67% Higher than other sellers. This means the result is better than the other 16 percent of sellers.

Feedback History — This table shows a detailed breakdown by month and the number of reviews.

At the bottom of the “reviews” page, you can see there is a list of all the reviews that this seller has received all the time. 

Rating of verified sellers on Aliexpress

I want to describe in more detail the icons (medals, diamonds, crowns) that you can see near the sellers' names, on the goods page, or on the stores' page (of these sellers). These images can be said to be visual units of rating measurement, and depending on the number of reviews that the seller received, these icons appear new.

For example, there is a small scale for the number of reviews:

• From 100-199 – 4 medals
• From 200-499 – 5 medals
• From 1000-1999 – 2 diamonds
• From 5000-9999 – 4 diamonds
• From 20000-49999 – 1 crown

Using the example of our seller ”Hong Kong Goldway", he has 4 crowns, which is about 200,000 reviews.

Using a taco visual representation, it is much easier for customers to understand the reliability of the store, because they do not need to go to the page of detailed information on reviews for each seller.

Now you can check any seller yourself, and understand how reliable he is, but for more confidence, it is advisable to read reviews of the product itself, because there are cases when sellers want to wind up the rating and manipulate various requests and offers to get a good review.

The more information you have, the more successful the purchase will be, so you will protect yourself from negative emotions and clarification of relations with the seller, as well as the opening of disputes and disputes.
